As it is the first World Cup to be held in South America since the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina, football fans from around the globe are expecting the most passionate and rhythmical global festival. 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ will be held in 12 cities from June 12 to July 13.

Under the concept of ‘Social World Cup’, Hyundai Motor Company focused on developing programs
that greater numbers of fans could actively participate in wherever they are.


Hyundai Motor Company, Official Partner of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™, made this year’s FIFA World Cup one of the most ‘social’ tournaments ever, as it continuously brought football fans together to celebrate the games and goals from Brazil.

As one of the results, more than 780,000 worldwide football fans shared their own ‘Fan Parks’ with others throughout the tournament by posting texts, music playlists, photos and videos through the ‘Pin my Fan Park’ program.

  • Shoot & Save game

    With the mobile game created by Hyundai, the World Cup fans were able to play a virtual football game with Iker Casillas and Ricardo Kaka! by taking free kicks and saving goals. The game was linked to social media, and the World Cup fans could share the score and play with friends.

  • Octopus Prediction

    There was an event predicting a winning team with Octopus from May 19th to July 12th in 2014. Based on a list of matches for the tournament. The football fans had predicted a winning team considering a whole score, and then the rank was decided. Total 67 participants received winner prize.

    In 2014 from June 12th to July 13th, Hyundai Fan Parks were hosted at five major cities ? Berlin (Germany), Madrid (Spain), Torino (Italy), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Sydney (Australia) ? and over 5 million football fans experienced the exciting atmosphere of the month-long tournament.

  • FIFA U-17 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP 2014MARCH 15 ~ APRIL 4, 2014 The FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2014 held in the beautiful country of Costa Rica is the fourth edition of this championship. It is an international tournament for football girl players under the age of 17. As a FIFA Partner with a focus on assisting and promoting the participation of women in top-level sport, Hyundai was thrilled to present this event with brand new 56 vehicles to be used as official transportation for the event. Hyundai also engaged in many marketing promotions such as ticket raffles and fan zone events to share the fun of this tournament with fans.
  • FIFA Confederations Cup 2013JUNE 15 ~ JUNE 30, 2013 The FIFA Confederations Cup is a tournament for national teams, contested by the holders of each of the six FIFA confederation championships (UEFA, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, CAF, AFC and OFC), along with the FIFA World Cup holder and the host nation. Since 2005, the tournament has been held in the nation that will host the FIFA World Cup in the following year, acting as a rehearsal for the larger tournament. Brazil hosted the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in 6 cities from June 15 to June 30.

  • FIFA U-20 World Cup 2013JUNE 21 ~ JULY 13, 2013 The FIFA U-20 World Cup 2013 in Turkey was the nineteenth edition of its kind. The FIFA U-20 World Cup is a championship for the national teams of male players under the age of 20. It is considered as the first ground where young players rise to become football superstars.
    As an official FIFA Partner, Hyundai Motor Company provided 112 official tournament vehicles accompanied by various marketing promotions for fans including ticket promotions.
  • FIFA Interactive World Cup 2013MAY 6 ~ MAY 8, 2013 The FIFA Interactive World Cup is the largest virtual football tournament in the world, in which players from all corners of the globe compete. The Grand Final of the 2013 edition of the tournament was held in Madrid from May 6 to May 8. As an official FIFA Partner, Hyundai Motor Company delivered 8 official vehicles to play a major role as the ground transportation provider of the tournament. Hyundai Motor Company invited 40 guests to this exciting and entertaining Grand Final Event, providing a great chance to meet world-class football players and to enjoy the festival.

Inspired by previous Hyundai Fan Parks staged during the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups, Hyundai expanded Hyundai Fan Park beyond the host country shores to major football capitals around the world thus further elevating the fun and Hyundai’s visibility. Staged in the major cities of the qualifying countries, Hyundai Fan Park will convey thrills and excitement to fans worldwide.
Fan of the Match
Fan of the Match, one of the FIFA World Cup™ programs exclusive to Hyundai, aimed to stir up fun and excitement at the match venues by rewarding the most outstanding fans. The fan with the most colorful, zaniest costume was presented to the crowd on the giant screen on half-time at all Hyundai 38 matches. All 38 ‘Fan of the Match’ winners were automatically entered into the ‘Fan of the Tournament’ contest at FIFA.com. The winner of the ‘Fan of the Tournament’ was awarded a valuable prize.

Perimeter boards (A-boards), which were installed in all Hyundai 38 matches, raised the visibility of the 'Hyundai' logo to unprecedented heights.
Hyundai Best Young Player Award
Hyundai further leveraged its FIFA partnership with the launch of the Hyundai Best Young Player Award (HBYPA) on Dec. 2, 2010. Hyundai is proud to be the exclusive presenter of the HBYPA, a coveted honor recognizing the most outstanding FIFA World Cup™ performances by footballers under 21 years of age. The trophy is awarded to an exceptional young player who demonstrates skill, creativity, maturity and a positive attitude, making a crucial contribution to their team’s performance and delighting fans with their ability and application.

Goodwill ball (GWB)
In the run-up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ gigantic four-meter high footballs ignited the hopes and passion of football fans. A total of 32 ‘Goodwill Balls’, one for each of the 32 qualifying countries embarked on national tours to collect the best wishes of the football fans for their national team. Exclusive to Hyundai, the “Goodwill Ball Roadshow” has become a signature event for the company since its inauguration at EURO 2000™. Popular with the fans, the balls have been gathering momentum at the 2002 Korea/Japan and 2006 Germany World Cup™ and EURO 2008™.

Be There With Hyundai
Through the ‘Be There With Hyundai’ program fans had the special opportunity to submit slogans which could be selected to be attached on the national team buses. With the start of the program dating back to EURO 2004™, this program has become one of Hyundai’s most well-known marketing programs.
